The 2020 Paraíso is 83% Malbec and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon from Paraje Altamira (55%) and Gualtallary (34%) in the Uco Valley and Las Compuertas (11%) in Luján de Cuyo. It was 74% aged in used barrels, 21% in foudres, and 5% was left unoaked. A dark purple hue. The nose presents potent balsamic aromas along with ripe plum and bay leaf against a refined, oaky backdrop. The 2020 is a big, bold wine. A subtly juicy mouthfeel complements the ripe, refined tannins before the long-lasting finish of ripe fruit.
