Burghound: Here the slightly more expressive nose is relatively similar to that of the LSJ but it's a bit riper and even more sauvage-inflected. There is fine richness to the beautifully textured and palate soaking flavors that exude an evident bead of minerality that adds a sense of lift to the firm, serious and youthfully austere finale. This is quite good and offers a different expression to that of the LSJ.

The 2021 Cazetiers from Rousseau displays a bright, forward red currant and pomegranate fruit with an edge of violets and minerals. The aromas are high-toned and bright, suggesting the cool vintage, yet there is more depth and density and less acid tension than expected. The grapes come from 0.60 hectares down the slope from Bruno Clair. After cold maceration, the destemmed fruit was fermented on native yeasts and is ageing in used casks.
91-93 The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers opens in the glass with notes of sweet red fruits, orange zest, loamy soil and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, supple and fine-boned, it's lively and seamless, concluding with a mouthwatering finish.
