The 2019 Soutard is a heady, exuberant wine. Succulent black cherry, chocolate, new leather, licorice and spice lend notable depth to this decidedly potent, full-bodied Saint-Émilion. All the elements come together so effortlessly. Soutard has really come together nicely with élevage. Its creamy, layered personality is super-impressive. There is a ton of intensity, but plenty of freshness, too.
