Saturated medium red. Stunning nose combines raspberry, strawberry, stone and truffle. Plump, silky and sweet but showing very good energy and shape to its complex, soil-driven flavors of red berries, coffee, mocha, minerals and smoked meat. Finishes supple, saline and long, with warming, fine-grained tannins. This was David Croix's first vintage in charge at Camille Giroud; he arrived in July of 2001 just after receiving his enology degree at the University of Dijon and took over winemaking duties in 2002.
